Origins of PNX Global

PNX Global celebrates 24 years of existence in 2024 and for all these years has successfully mobilised and educated students on a tertiary level.  We have the privilege of training a multi-cultural student group academically with a strong focus on practical, vocational experience in the arts,  community service and we offer a brilliant gap year experience.

How can we get involved?

As a Non Profit Organisation (052-278-NPO) PNX Global depends on the public and industry for funding & donations to reach its goals and objectives.  It is in this regard that we essentially need your participation to join any of the projects mentioned below.  You can help us make a difference by contributing monthly, annually or once off to PNX Global.

For your info and benefit…Pneumatix has been approved as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO Trust) IT1422/2005 in terms of section 30 of the Income Tax Act and the receipts and accruals are exempt from income tax in terms of section 10(1)(1cN) of the Act.

The public benefit organisation has been approved for purposes of Section 18A (1) (a) of the act whereby donations to the organisation will be tax deductible for the donor. The taxpayer, whether a company or an individual, making a bona fide donation in cash or in kind to a Section 18A approved organisation is entitled to a deduction from the taxable income. The PNX Global finance office issues tax certificates to donors on request.

The following outlines possibilities for yourself, your company or any specific sponsorship.

Student Support

@ R80k per year or a portion thereof. If we are certain of an amount allocated for a student or students, we can search for those in need and who are deserving of financial support (the hard working, talented and willing students). Currently 18 Students out of 340+ applicants for 2020 could commit financially in some form.

Vehicle Sponsor

Each of our busses costs in the region of R500k and 2 of the 4 are still financed. The older two have clocked up over 200k kilometres and will need replacing soon. Sponsorship can be stipulated towards monthly payments or for a new purchase.

Music Equipment

Each team is allocated a full set of sound and lighting equipment to equip them properly for a tour. This equipment is then used throughout the year to equip teaching venue on the campus. Each set costs approximately R200k (sound mixer, microphones, speakers, LED lights and stands, cabling for the entire set, etc.) and currently only one set is new and the other equipment varies between 10 and 15 years old. Systematic replacement is taking place as funds are available.

Teaching Venue

There are numerous teaching venues for both academic and practical (dance/drama/music) on campus and each one needs regular maintenance and upgrading with equipment (LED media screens and speakers) in order to allow teaching with all the most modern equipment. This would take approximately R20k per venue.

Partner 1000

We aim to involve 1000 partners in a long-term commitment (at least 12 months) to support PNX Global as a non-profit organisation.

Your contribution will provide PNX Global, as a student training center AND ministry, a greater sustainability over 12 months and longer.

We will be able to support the campus and day-to-day expenses with much less stress, because we desire to continue to assist one or more less fortunate students.

My School Card

MySchool/MyVillage/MyPlanet is South Africa’s number one community support programme that raises and delivers essential funding to schools and charities, in order to improve education and social development in South Africa. This enables members of the community to participate in the future development of the nation in a sustainable way, without taking money directly from their pocket.

MySchool/MyVillage/MyPlanet programme raises more than R1.7 million per month for the schools and charities it supports.

Parents, Friends and Family can support PNX Global by applying for a MyVillage card.

How MySchool/MyVillage/MyPlanet works:

More than 600 000 parents and community minded people carry MySchool supporter cards. Supporters (parents, friends and family) apply for a MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet card and nominate their favourite school or charity as the beneficiary. When they purchase items from participating retailers they swipe the card with the purchase. A small percentage of their transaction is then allocated to their beneficiary school or charity. All these transactions are recorded and a statement is sent to individual supporters on a monthly basis.

Where can I swipe myMySchool/MyVillage/MyPlanet card:

The success of the programme depends on the number of times you swipe your card! Supporters can use their cards at a range of national, regional and local retail partners on the MySchool/MyVillage/MyPlanet system. Some of the national partners include Woolworths, Engen, Walton’s, SupaQuick, kalahari.net, Jack’s Paint, Toys R Us, Reggie’s, Club Travel and many more.
