BA (GENERAL)
Students that are interested in completing a general Bachelors of the Arts degree can now do so at Pneumatix. The qualification is taught over a three-year period and the qualification forms a spiritual, academic and professional foundation to practice in the church and professional sector. The degree can further lead to studies at post-graduate and doctoral levels.
The student interested in this degree can major in one of the following:
- Education
- Industrial Psychology
- Communications
- Sociology
This makes up the general framework for the degree and may create opportunities in the church, business, political and communications sectors.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The entry level requirement for enrollment for the degree course is National Senior Certificate after 2008 and South African Senior Certificate with exemption/ endorsement prior to 2008. International students will be considered on individual merit and may be asked to complete additional requirements for admission to the course.
OUTLINE
Students who select this option can choose two main subjects from Industrial Psychology, Communication, Sociology and Education, which will be taken up to third year level. Students should also select another subject from Industrial Psychology, Communication, Sociology, Education and Psychology, which will be taken up to second year level. For the BA Degree (General) students cannot select Psychology as a third year level subject. Students who wish to select Psychology as a main subject should register for the BA Degree (Psychology).

The Institute of Christian Psychology is a site of delivery of Die Afrikaanse Protestantse Akademie (Association incorporated under Section 21), which is registered with the South African Department of Education as a private higher education institution under the Higher Education Act, 1997 (Registration Certificate No. 1999/HE08/001) for the BA and B Psych degrees.
